Here we go .... here come my forties

Well after enjoying writing  my dating blog "the girl next doors search for love" and now having found "a good guy" I needed a new avenue for my writing. And so this blog was born ! This year, well actually this month, I'm turning the big

 Doesn't bother me, its just another number, but its an ideal chance to start a new adventure, a new page and a new blog !
So whats on

the agenda ? Well last year I lost 2 Stone in weight and found a great man after a long search ! This Year I have a few goals to achieve - the first one is loosing another stone. Calorie counting and my new found love of yoga should help tick that one off the list ! Already this year I've lost 3 lb. So I'm on my way ! I've decided to take photos each week to show my inch loss from the yoga moves- I promise not to subject you to the bad ones !

Today I had a doctors appointment. Nothing serious, just results of a blood test that prove I have been going through an early menopause for the last few years. Any woman will tell you they wouldn't wish hot flushes on their worst enemy ! But luckily I don't have the symptoms anymore (although some loved ones will say I have mood swings - I would just say I've always had them, its not a menopausal issue !) So now I am due to start taking HRT - via patches - and hopefully nothing will change (although reduction in the mood swings might be a bonus !)

I have also decided to venture into the world of crafts ! I have always liked messing around with paper and sticky things so now seems a good time to see if I have a talent for anything at all ! My first attempt is at card making- nothing too strenuous - but something to keep my hands busy and out of the sweet jar !







So I have been surfing the net and doing some e-bay buying and my first creations have been born ! Im quite pleased with the results so far . Let me know what you think !
